Design, Supply & Install

Basetec Services was engaged to provide a turnkey package, including design, supply and installation of four NovaFlo seawater inlet cooling pipes and pump casings for the Te Mihi Geothermal Plant in New Zealand.

The pump columns were 2.1m in diameter by 9.5m in height, and the top flange sections had to be completely self-supporting and accommodate the weight of a 2.5-tonne suction pump.

Basetec Services carried out a full FEA analysis, pipeline stress analysis, and seismic design.

The use of Novafast composite materials for these vessels meant that Basetec was able to save the client a significant amount of money on this project.
